Comfortable, loose clothing
Leggings, shorts and a thin-fabric T-shirt work best. Thick, stiff fabrics such as denim make it harder to feel tension and bony landmarks, which limits the precision of manual work.
The practice has a changing area and a coat rack. You can arrive in your own clothes and bring something to change into.

Oral hygiene before temporomandibular joint therapy
Some TMJ techniques are performed inside the mouth, with disposable gloves, exactly as during a dental appointment. This is a standard hygiene procedure, so please brush your teeth before the visit or use the mouthwash available at the practice.
If you have a canker sore, cold sore, a recently extracted tooth or any other change in your mouth, let me know beforehand. We will then use external techniques or reschedule, so that healing tissue is not irritated.
